Vilma Santos-Recto’s name was one of those who came up during the SWS survey for the vice presidency in 2016.
Santos garnered the highest votes from the public, paving way for speculations that she might consider running for the national position.
She has not made any announcement yet but Vilma said she is thankful that the people think she is rightful for the position.
However, the veteran actress-politician maintained she is not entertaining thoughts about that issue.
She wants to focus on being a local government official in Batangas first.
She wants to be the first governor to graduate as Batangas governor with flying colors.
She was recently with Senator Ralph Recto and their son, Ryan Christian, for a three-week vacation in the US.
In the end, Vilma said she is open to running for a higher post.
Meanwhile, Vilma was nominated as Best Actress at the Urian Awards for her role in ‘Ekstra.’
Superstar Nora Aunor is also nominated for the Urian Award aside from Vilma Santos.
Vilma is focused on her work as a governor.
She has to visit towns in Batangas, so that she will know what problems they are facing.
She received many invitations from New York, Rome and others for the promotion of the movie ‘Ekstra’ but she could not attend to all of these.
As for making a movie, Vilma said she might do one this year if it fits her schedule.
She is just waiting for the script.
